Are there any Roku channels that you can add IPTV streams to and use on TV?

For those that don’t know what IPTV is, it is the abbreviation for “Internet Protocol Television”. It is not on-demand TV rather live cable or satellite TV channels that get broadcast as a stream across the Internet. With the huge amount of free streams available and many even in HD, IPTV streaming has become a very popular way to TV.

XTV and cCloud are both excellent channels with a huge amount of IPTV streams. In fact, there are so many IPTV streams you probably would be hard pressed to find more that you would want to add yourself. These are both fantastic Private Roku channels.

Channel PEAR is another great IPTV channel where you can submit your own m3u links along with a channel logo. The free channel only allows you to have up to 5 IPTV streams although you can choose from hundreds in their database. It has a very nice layout and is a nice channel to customize with the few IPTV streams of channels you like to watch a lot. If you want to add more, you can upgrade to the premium paid version of Channel PEAR for $2.99 a month and have unlimited IPTV streams. You can even search for and add your own IPTV streams as well.

This would be a great way to have a custom Roku channel with only the IPTV streams you enjoy look at. With the nature of IPTV streams coming and going you will probably have to update your channel quite often with new links.

Fortunately, updating xml files on a private Roku channel with new m3u links is very easy. It consists of basically editing a file with a text editor and uploading it with FTP to your web server. Once you exit and renter the channel on your Roku your new content is updated and your new IPTV streams are instantly there.
